Birds, dolphins and other wildlife in Mallorca
Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza are all home to a range of wildlife. Mallorca is a paradise for birdwatchers with 315 species, including many that are rarely sighted.
The waters around the Balearics are frequnted by dolphins, particularly in the channel between Mallorca and Menorca. There are no guarantees that you will see dolphins on a charter holiday, but if you are lucky enough to be visited by these graceful creatures, it is an experience you will never forget.
Lizards are also prevalent around the Baleriac Islands, and the island Dragonera supports a colony of a unique species of lizard. Dragonera makes a marvellous anchorage on a yacht charter if you are planning on circumnavigating the island.
