Menorca
Menorca, also known as Minorca, lies 25 miles north east of Mallorca. Unlike Mallorca and Ibiza, Menorca is low and flat.Menorca has three natural harbours at Ciudadella, Mahon and Fornells, and a wealth of beautiful calas and anchorages.
Because it is a little off the beaten track, Menorca is generally more quiet and relaxed than Mallorca. It also has higher proportion of nudist beaches than its larger cousin.
Menorca is easily accessible in a week or less for yacht charters based in the north-east marinas of Mallorca such as Alcudia and Pollensa.
Throughout this website, sailing destinations are divided into:
- Harbours where the port is part of the town, such as Ciudadella or Fornells
- Marinas of which there are several within the harbour at Mahon
- Anchorages with little or no facilities like Cala Santa Galdana
Top destinations are Ciudadella, Cala Turqeta and Cala Macarella
